The Powered By Level Up compatibilty logo is an optional logo which you can use on your products to indicate compatibility with Level Up: Advanced 5th Edition. You do not have to use this logo in order to use the content of the A5ESRD. If you do use this logo, you must do so under the Powered By Level Up Compatibility Logo License below.
Powered By Level Up Compatibility Logo License v1.2 (Dec 4 2023)
This license comes into effect as of November 5th, 2021. No payment or notification is required in order to use it.
You acknowledge and agree that EN Publishing owns trademarks and copyright to the compatibility logo, the Level Up logo, and the name “Level Up: Advanced 5th Edition” and you agree not to contest EN Publishing’s ownership of them.
This license refers solely to the use of the Powered By Level Up compatibility logo, and in itself grants no access to any other intellectual property. You may not use the official Level Up logo.
You may refer to Level Up in your document, as long as you do not state or imply any ownership of the name or system.
This Level Up compatibility logo license is a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, royalty-free license to use the compatibility logo on products which are designed to use rules and other materials from Level Up, subject to the conditions in this license.
The logo must appear on the front cover of your product and must be smaller than the title of your product (i.e. it can’t be so big that it looks like the title of your game is “Level Up").
You may not alter the logo (except in size), including its colors or design, except that you may reproduce it in black-and-white or greyscale if your product cover is also black-and-white. You may place it upon any background of your choosing.
Your product must take advantage of the new rules found in the A5ESRD. You may only use the logo to indicate that your product is compatible with Level Up.
You may not suggest that EN Publishing endorses, owns, or is in any way responsible for any part of your product other than by including the compatibility logo.
You may not use EN Publishing’s name on your product (except see [11] below), and the name of your products may not include the words “Level Up”, “Advanced 5E”, “Advanced 5th Edition”, or “Advanced”. You agree not to create or use any names similar enough to ours that people might believe that your material was produced by us.
On your title page, or the page where you include your own copyright notices, you must include the following text: “Level Up is a trademark of EN Publishing. The Powered By Level Up Compatibility Logo is used with permission. See www.levelup5e.com.”
EN Publishing is an inclusive company which promotes diversity. You may not use this compatibility logo on products which contain hate speech, including but not limited to art or text which discriminates against disadvantaged people, any message which is discriminatory based on skin color, gender, gender identification, sexuality, ethnicity, nationality, age, or religion, content which is illegal in your jurisdiction, or content which features inappropriate depictions of minors. Additionally, you may not depict genitals, sex acts, or pornographic material in art or text. You agree in good faith to use your best efforts to preserve these standards of conduct. EN Publishing may terminate this license immediately if it deems, in its sole discretion, that your use of the compatibility logo does not meet these standards.
We strongly support the artists in our creative community. Your product may not contain images created by AI.
If you breach the terms of this license, this agreement automatically terminates 30 days after the breach unless you rectify the breach.
We may terminate this license at any time, either globally or for an individual licensee, for any reason. If we do so, you will no longer be able to put the compatibility logo on new products. If you have existing physical stock, you may continue to sell it off but must remove the logo on the next printing. If you have electronic or print-on-demand products, you should remove the logo within 3 months.
We will attempt in good faith to notify you if we terminate your license to use this logo. You agree that an attempt to send email to your email address constitutes valid notice and service of process on you, as is a notice placed on this website or the official Level Up website. Once we terminate your license, you may not secure a new license from us without our written permission. If the termination occurs automatically as a result of a breach of this license, we are not required to notify you of this termination.
We may update or change this license at any time. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are complying with the latest version of the license. If this license is updated, you are required to use the latest version for all products featuring the compatibility logo going forward, and for all future revisions of existing products. For pre-existing products which no longer comply with a revised version of this license, we grant a one-year grace period in which to update them so that they comply. The current version of the license is noted in the license title above, along with the date of the update.
